Model Search...

Well, I have been dying to do pictures of newborn twins for a while now and I haven't had the opportunity.  So, I am going to do a model search.  If you know of anyone who has just had twins within 2 weeks or is going to give birth to twins I would love for you to send them my way.  They will not have to pay for a sitting fee and are under no obligation to buy any portraits.  If they would like to, they may purchase portraits at our regular prices.  Also, if one of my current clients finds someone for me they will get the $40 referral credit once the session is finished.  =)  It is a win win situation.

I am also looking for a high school senior model.  I love edgy high school senior photography and would love to have some models from different schools in Stockton, Lodi, and Manteca.   If you know of anyone who will be graduating from high school in 2010 send them my way.  They will not have a sitting fee either and you will receive $40 referral credit once the session is finished.  There are other freebies available depending on the high school they are from.  Who doesn't love free stuff.  They would be under no obligation to buy any portraits but can if they'd like to at my regular portrait prices.

Another Blossoms mini-shoot added...

Well, my first mini-shoot filled up within hours so I had added another Blossoms mini-shoot to the schedule.  If you are interested in this mini-shoot you need to call as soon as possible or email to schedule the shoot.  I only have four appointment available and they are:

9-9:30

9:45-10:15

10:30-11

11:15-11:45

The session fee is $50. (You must pay in advance to hold your spot.)  If you order your pictures within 7 days you will receive a free 5x7.

PlanetJill...

I have so many new things to introduce you to that I found at WPPI.  I will do them one at a time so that it is a little less overwhelming.  =)

The first one is PlanetJill.  I am excited to offer photo jewelry for the first time.  I have ordered my samples and they should be in within one week.  I am so excited for you to see them because they are beautiful!

Vegas, Baby!

Here is little A.  He was such a joy to photograph.  He was so easy to get to smile and was a little trooper for all the pictures we took.  

Blossoms Mini-shoot

We have another mini-shoot coming up here at Misty's Portraits.  I am planning on doing a mini-shoot in Manteca at my in-laws orchard.  This time of the year is beautiful out there because of the blossoms.  They are perfect around the first of March so I thought I'd take advantage of it and do a blossoms/Easter mini-shoot.  You could even use these pictures for your Mother or Mother-in-Law for Mother's Day.  So if you are interested in booking a session give me a call as soon as possible because I only have 4 slots available.  If you are able to do it during the week let me know and I will plan another day to have a mini-session during the week.

The day of the mini-shoot is Saturday, March 7th.  The time slots are:

8:30-9

9:15-9:45

10-10:30

10:45-11:15

The mini-session fee is: $50.  If you order your pictures within 7 days of your online proofing you will receive a free 5x7.

Contest Winners...

I know that all of you have been waiting patiently for the winners of our current contest.  There were a few mix-ups with the voting so I had to give it a little time.  Well, you don't have to wait any longer because the results are in:

1st Place is image #3.  Miss H wins a trio frame with 3 - 5x5 pictures in it.

Thanks to everyone who participated in this contest.  When I initially thought about this contest I told my husband that I would be so happy if 50 people voted.  Well, the number of people who voted was 5 times my expectations.  I just can't believe that I got 250 votes for my image contest!  I'm truly WOWED!!!  I hope that you enjoyed the contest and I will be doing it again next year so if you'd like to be a part of the best image contest you will need to book a photo shoot sometime in 2009.

Now, let me just tell you that I didn't have an easy way to pick the winner of the voting contest.  So, I wrote every name, yes a little over 200 names and then put them in a hat and picked out a name.  It was very time consuming but I wanted it to be fair.  Honestly, I wasn't expecting that many votes. (not that I'm complaining.)  Next time I'll use a company on the internet to pick them.  =)  Well, the winner that I picked is:
