The best of 2008 contest has begun...

I have decided to do another contest.  It is an image contest of the best image from 2008.  I have went through and selected 30 of my favorite images from 2008.  Please vote for your favorite image.  Please only vote one time.  Voting is on the right of this post.  Now, in order to keep it fair you have to send me an email at: mistysportraits@sbcglobal.net with the number you voted for and your information so that I can verify all the votes and that someone didn't vote 10 times. Only one vote per email address please.  Feel free to sent this to anyone you think would like to vote and win something.  

Now, what do you win, you ask??  There are two parts to this contest.  First, the grand prize winner of the images will win a framed collage of 3 - 5x5's of a past photo shoot or a future photo shoot.    This is a $179 value.  The second and third place image will receive a $30 gift certificate to Misty's Portraits.  

Now, the second part of the contest is for those of you who vote.  If you place a vote and email me with your information you will be in the running to receive a free photo shoot and a free framed collage of 3 - 5x5's from that photo shoot.  This is a $279 value.

Best of 2008 images

A step backward..

The holiday season was so busy that I was barely able to keep my head afloat.  I wasn't able to post any pictures from that time so I am going to post them now.  Here are some examples from my Christmas Card Mini-shoot.  It was really hard to just pick one.  Thanks to all the families who allowed me to be a little part of their Christmas.  =)  I enjoyed every single one of these shoots.

A sweet newborn

What a fun photo shoot this was.  This is one of my good friends' new baby.  He is just so darn cute!  I am really glad that I had the opportunity to photography him.  She told me that her son only gets the best and that I had to take his pictures.  That was a great compliment!  Thanks so much!  =)

It's a New Year...

Since it is a New Year we have made a few changes.  The price list is a little different this year.  With the rising costs of everything I hated to raise my prices so I did something a little different.  (see above).  I also changed my specials this year.  I am constantly asked if I give out a CD with the prints on it.  So, since you've asked I have listened.  If you spend $750-$999 you will receive 2 free images through email with copyright release and better yet if you spend $1000 you will receive all the images from the photo shoot on a CD with a copyright release.

For January and February you can get $25 off your sitting fee and 5% off your entire order.  I have given money off the sitting fee but I have never given a percentage off the order.  So, take advantage and book your appointment now because I am booking up fast because of these great offers.

Old Town Sacramento Shoot..

So I discovered an amazing place to take pictures this winter, Old Town Sacramento.  That place is full of amazing trains, building, and pillars to take pictures by.  I had so much fun finding all these new spots.  My kids were SO sick of Mom taking their pictures so I stopped but I could have taken pictures of them there all day!  This is a mini-shoot that I am considering for this year.  Let me know if you'd be interested.
